Hey! I'm Sierra!

Sierra grew up as a military child and moved around a lot but she calls Huntsville, Alabama home. She went to high school at Madison Academy and graduated in 2014. After receiving several basketball scholarships she decided to go to Belmont University and she graduated in 2018 with a degree in Spanish. After graduating, she was able to fulfill her dream to be a professional basketball player and she played in Barakaldo (Bilbao) Spain during the 2018-2019 season. She had opportunities to continue playing but she felt it in her heart to come back home and God led her to Auburn University. She began as a student at Auburn pursuing her Masters in Spanish and serving as a GA in the Spanish Department but she started volunteering with FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) on campus and could feel the tug in her heart to go into full time ministry. As crazy as it sounds, she let go of a full-ride scholarship at Auburn University to switch to getting her Masters at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Beginning in January of 2020 she began her Masters in Divinity online and started serving as the Women’s Ministry Associate along side Chette Williams (Auburn Football Chaplain) and Randy Roberts (Auburn Men’s Basketball Chaplain). Soon COVID-19 happened and God transitioned her back home. In 2021, Sierra decided to take a quick pause on Divinity as she is getting her Masters in ESOL (English as a Second Language) at UAH (University of Alabama in Huntsville). She is the head girls varsity basketball coach at Jemison High school. Sierra is also studying NASM program to be certified in Nutrition. Sierra loves helping others and just people in general! She has a heart to serve and a big smile to show it. She loves working out, hanging with friends and family, reading, and whatever else life brings her way! Sierra has one older sister, Olivia and her parents Darryl and Sheila Jones
